My name is Dan, I am 46 years old. I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 26. I went on an insulin pump about 12 years ago, but never was able to get good control of my blood sugar. The best A1c test I ever had was 7.2 and averaged between 7.9 and 8.9, many times even higher.
I developed high eye pressure (28) which was diagnosed as glaucoma. I also developed trigger finger in both thumbs. I had surgery on my left thumb and surgery was scheduled for my right thumb.
My right foot often was very cold and had tingling sensation in the toes on my right foot. I also developed a neurogenic bladder. This is diabetic neuropathy of the bladder.
I developed seasonal allergies (rhinitis) for the first time in my life and suffered from congestion and runny nose from February to May.
I was seeing a different specialist for each of these conditions. Around the age of 40 a good friend of mine named Rick told me about a natural glutathione enhancer that optimizes the immune system by raising glutathione levels. In August of 2008 I went for a heart scan called an Electron Beam Tomography (EBT) scan. It scans for calcium buildup which indicates the presence and amount of atherosclerotic plaque. The result was 0 across the board. Meaning, I had 0 plaque buildup and a 0% chance of a cardiovascular event in the next 5 years according to the report. The graph they included with my results show where most asymptomatic men fall and it starts at age 30. They don't even have a category listed for my age bracket and results.
If you do research, you will find that cholesterol does not stick to the arterial walls until it becomes oxidized by oxidative stress.
What I have learned is that the complications are a result of oxidative stress brought on by my elevated glucose levels. By raising glutathione levels, the glutathione accelerator reduced the levels of oxidative stress and the complications went away.
