I have chosen nine of these studies that use a specific brand of undenatured whey protein named Immunocal below. The earlier studies were done with mice, and thereafter human clinical trials were conducted which laid the groundwork for a Physician's Desk Reference Listing and 65 International Method of Use Patents, which will discuss more in detail.

This cancer research is referred to here, not because you and I can necessarily understand it all in it's entirety, but to be aware that it exists and where to find it.
Cancer research helps us to understand the efficacy of this undenatured whey protein named Immunocal in cancer therapy, and this enables us to refer to this research with the assistance of our health care professional.
Cancer Research: Physician’s Desk Reference Listing
Regarding cancer research, a listing in the Physician's Desk Reference for Immunocal may also be viewed
here.

It is interesting to note here that under "Indications and Usage", this PDR listing states that certain types of cancers are defined as glutathione deficient states, and this strategy addresses the issue of glutathione augmentation.
In Canada, there is a listing in the Compendium of Pharmaceuticals and Specialties for this product as well.
If you are considering using Immunocal for your glutathione and cancer treatment, you may find this helpful to review with your treating physician.
It is also interesting to note that as co-editor for the book "Oxidative Stress in cancer, AIDS, and Neurodegenerative Diseases ", Dr. Luc Montagnier devoted a whole chapter to the subject of this particular undenatured whey protein.
Dr. Luc Montagnier was the winner of the 2008 Nobel Prize in Medicine for his co-discovery of the HIV virus with Francoise Barre-Sinoussi in 1983. He is also the co-founder of the World Foundation for AIDS Research and Prevention.
Glutathione and Cancer Research : Method Of Use Patent
Regarding cancer research, there is a special Method-Of Use Patent that has also been granted to Immunocal for the treatment and prevention of cancer.
A Method-of-Use Patent differs from a Composition patent. You or I can make a formula and apply for a patent that says "I assembled parts A, B and C together, and this is my formula."
A Method-of-Use Patent means that the product is guaranteed to do what it claims it will do. To view this special patent issued by the US Patent Office entitled "Anti-cancer therapeutic compositions containing whey protein concentrate" click

Dr. Jimmy Gutman is the world's most published author on the subject of glutathione. His current bestseller is entitled "Glutathione - Your Key To Health."
NEWS UPDATE: August 1, 2009: There is a new cancer study being conducted by the Moffitt Cancer Center CCOP Research Base with IMN 1207, which is an advanced formulation of the undenatured whey protein, Immunocal(R), a dietary natural health supplement developed and sold worldwide by Immunotec for the past 12 years.
Depending on the results of this study, larger trials evaluating the effect of IMN 1207 may be warranted.
The goal of the study is to determine the effect of IMN 1207, a cysteine-rich whey protein supplement, in preventing additional weight loss in patients with stage IV (advanced) non-small cell lung cancer. To see the press release, please click
