I am taking several medications for high blood pressure, cholesterol, and diabetes, and I am 49 years old. Can I take Immunocal or MaxGXL? Could you please give me some advice? Thank you for your help.
Brenda,
Thanks so much for your excellent question. There are no drug interactions with Immunocal, so you can safely take it with the medications you are on. The Physician's Desk Reference states on this matter:
"CONTRAINDICATIONS
IMMUNOCAL® is contraindicated in individuals who develop or have known hypersensitivity to specific milk proteins."
That means that if there was a drug that was contraindicated, it would be listed here. All medications can be safely taken with Immunocal by people of all ages and conditions except those that have a milk protein allergy or have had an organ transplant.
You should check with a MaxGXL consultant to find out if MaxGXL would be advised in your situation. Certain people should not take it, including children and pregnant and nursing mothers, and those with a shellfish allergy.
If you'd like to order Immunocal, you can do so here.
