In July 2011, a search for “glutathione Alzheimer’s" returned 703 results. Many of these point to the role of
glutathione
as an antioxidant to combat
oxidative stress
as a causative factor. Vascular dementia is considered, as well as senile dementia,
lipid peroxidation,
as well as information on Alzheimer’s prevention and Alzheimer’s treatment through glutathione up-regulation.
I have chosen 10 of these studies here for your perusal.

In conclusion, we can see from published medical studies that oxidative stress plays a key role in the causes of Alzheimer’s Disease. By raising glutathione levels, the body’s master antioxidant, much can be done for Alzheimer’s prevention.
Glutathione and it’s related enzyme glutathione peroxidase also help to prevent lipid peroxidation, which may also be a causative factor in Alzheimer’s Disease. This can help to prevent symptoms of vascular dementia, and senile dementia. These studies on Alzheimer’s Disease show us that much can be gained by raising and sustaining our glutathione levels for Alzheimer’s prevention and Alzheimer’s treatment.
Dr. Jimmy Gutman is the world's most published author on the subject of glutathione. His current bestseller is entitled "Glutathione - Your Key To Health."
